In the face of recent global challenges, what positive changes or silver linings have you observed in your local community?

As we all know, nowadays we have serious global challenges. In the face of this, I am wondering whether your city or town has positive changes. The thing is, I have not observed anything in my town these days but it does not mean that there are not changes. Perhaps I do not go out too often and I do not see changes. I am sure our mayor, who is a kind and generous man, organises charities and makes people collect clothes, and different items for the poor. I am also sure there are organisations in my town which raise money for those in need.

I just do not read the local news too often but I am sure positive changes are present in my town. People need safety, somewhere warm to stay until they get back on track. However, I do not see homeless shelters in my town – there must be some in my capital. I might have heard something earlier that a homeless shelter was full, so there must be at least one in Budapest. I think more shelters are needed because a lot of people are homeless and they cannot survive this winter without warm. There are these containers too, where you can throw away your used clothes. Those ones, I have already seen them in my town but I am not sure they are still there.
