My story of selling and practicality

Besides my classes today I went to the city center to meet a person who was interested in my laptop. Before I dive into this entry, I will drive the point home: I managed to sell it and my buyer was happy. I may have mentioned that I had bought a second-hand office laptop because I had a previous one, a gamer laptop, which proved to be too much for me, I just did not need it anymore. I have no time for playing, I do not edit videos, I just use communication softwares and text editors for writing. So I asked myself, why I needed that strong laptop? I could make do with a simpler one, so I opted for Dell Latitude 7300. Well, compared to the Acer VX-15, it has a lower performance but what matters to me the most is mobility: since it has a much smaller size, I can take it anywhere and work anywhere easily. Anyway, I went to meet up with him at McDonalds, I ordered a cheeseburger and waited for him. Then he turned up and we sealed the deal. We chatted a bit about working life and technology a bit and departed.

I realised that I should not keep unused things at home. What I do not use anymore, can be important for another person, especially if I sell it at a cheap price. One person’s trash is another person’s treasure – as the idiom says.

Now you have to ask yourself, what if everyone paid more attention to selling their unused items? I think it would be a win-win situation. People could earn some extra money while others would benefit from the second-hand item they buy. This kind of practicality could improve the world, I think.
