Santa’s sweet surprise

Santa Claus has visited us this morning. He left a package full of sweets in the kitchen to my wife. I was happy that he has been and my wife was seemingly happy too. Looking back at my childhood, I was not shocked when Santa Clause turned out to be a fictional character. I wonder if most children generally get shocked when they realize the truth or they are just films that make such a fuss about it. I remember Christmas Eve: my father told me to go out for a walk but I knew that my mother was already placing the presents under the tree. Well, I had a guess, I would say.

But I did not want to ruin the evening with sharing my guess. The evening was good as it was. Then we went back to the house and there they were: some presents that made us cheerful the whole night. I was so excited that I often could not even sleep because I was looking forward to play with my new toys. Sometimes I got Lego because Lego was much cheaper back then and I was so keen on building something. But the biggest present of all was a BMX bicycle one Christmas evening. So there is nothing wrong with keeping the traditions of Santa Claus because it gives a unique atmosphere to the whole day.
