I read on 444 that two members of KDNP, Lőrinc Nacsa and István Hollik, had submitted a bill to the Hungarian Parliament prohibiting the sale of energy drinks to those under 18 years of age.
Nacsa stated that in Hungary, the consumption of energy drinks among young people has reached alarming levels, with a survey showing that 78% of them consume energy drinks, and every fifth child aged 10-14 regularly consumes energy drinks for breakfast. He wrote that in recent months they have consulted with many experts and doctors who have confirmed that this poses a serious health risk.
In my opinion, this is a right action. I’m truly horrified when I see young schoolchildren with energy drinks and cigarettes in their hands. They surely think they’re very cool. Well, they’re not. They’re rather pathetic.
And then there’s vaping. As if it’s some kind of privilege to suck on that crap – of course, I know, this can compensate for the lack of intelligence of some individuals.
