I wanted to go to the gym today, but I’m still sick 🙁 So I decided it’s better to stay home and recover. Instead, I went for my usual aerobic walk—it’s safer and still gets me moving.
Later, I remembered I needed to visit our GP to ask for a confirmation letter stating that my wife is pregnant, so we can apply for the family support benefit. Unfortunately, the doctor was on holiday. Fortunately, I ran into his nurse, who told me we could get the same document from our gynecologist instead. It was lucky I bumped into her! I shared our good news with her, and she was genuinely happy for us.
Since I was already out, I stopped by the pharmacy across the street and picked up a box of Advil—just in case.
By the way, did I ever tell you my go-to combo for cold and sore throat? Ambroxol, Advil, and throat lozenges like Strepsils—it’s like magic.
Once I got home, we scheduled our next appointment with the gynecologist for next Monday.
So even when plans don’t go as expected, staying flexible can lead to unexpected and helpful outcomes.
