Today we had a building community meeting. We talked about some administrative issues and ongoing repair work, but the most surprising news was that our downstairs neighbors are moving out. They’re getting a bigger family house.
But that’s not really the point. The real issue is that they never told us — they just announced that they were leaving. If we had known earlier, we would have been seriously interested in buying their flat. We would’ve found a way to make it work, and our little girl would have had a lovely garden to play in.
I don’t want to sound greedy — I’m honestly happy with our current place. Still, it would’ve been a wonderful, simple opportunity to move. Just one floor down!
And what makes it even more frustrating is that they were advertising it on a popular real estate website — but we never check those. If they had just mentioned it, we would have had plenty of time to arrange everything.
I’m really sad we missed this chance.
