Which Way, Hungary? Between Sovereignty and Isolation

Orbán says Hungary should not adopt the euro — Speaking to an interview, Orbán argued the European Union is “disintegrating,” and Hungary should avoid adopting the euro to maintain sovereignty.

I think this is a huge mistake. Why would we not want a strong currency? Why are we getting closer to Eastern bloc? Did history not teach enough lesson to this country? I do not comprehend why Hungary has been fighting the West for years. Why is the EU shown as the main enemy in this country? According to the opposition, that is because this is how the governing party wants to maintain its power. If that is true, we must ask the question. To what extent are the true interests of this country are served? Are we really going to the right direction?

I would not insist on forint anymore. Everyone knows that this is a weak currency and it will never get stronger. Once more, the opposition claims that keeping the forint benefits certain interests. We should think about what direction to take if we want to the best for this country, in my opinion.
