Political dilemmas

Hungary is experiencing a lot of excitement right now. People are going to elect on Sunday. The FIDESZ party has been in power for 16 years. Will it be removed from power? If yes, then the political nature of the country will become left-centered. The thing is, I agree with a few measures that FIDESZ took but there are many that I do not agree with. I just hope that if FIDESZ stays in power, it will change its attitude, become less corrupt and less conservative. I know I am being naive – this will never happen.

On the other hand, if the opposition wind, I hope it will be more open toward the West and the EU. That is where we should belong to. A safer world with better future. But I am not too optimist. I think both parties will have great majority and the Hungarian political scene will be about continuous fight.

But hopefully I am wrong.
