I read on Telex that starting from July 1st, buffets, restaurants, pastry shops, cafes, liquor stores, bars, entertainment venues, and fast-food restaurants were required to provide real-time data on their sales. The data will be sent to the National Tourism Data Reporting Center (NTAK), and it will also be accessible to the tax authorities and statistical office.
That’s a really interesting idea! In addition to that, guests should be obligated to fill out a questionnaire where they provide detailed information about their taxes, including the details of their owned vehicles (including the chassis number and registration data) and properties (land registry number, copies of sales contracts, etc.). It would also be helpful to know their previous healthcare services and medication history.
Furthermore, it wouldn’t hurt to present the browsing history of their internet browser. They shouldn’t be allowed to leave the establishment without providing it.
For now, these additions would be enough.
It is fun to read what Péter Zsuffa, a buffet owner said:
Imagine this: between 12 PM and 2 PM, when the house is bustling, my hands are greasy, wet, and oily. With one hand, I’m frying the fish, with the other, I’m preparing the potatoes. I rush into the storeroom, trying to handle phone orders while filtering the cooking oil after every two batches. And in the midst of it all, I’m expected to input real-time data on some IT device. I’m not exaggerating; sometimes it reaches temperatures of 55-60 degrees Celsius.
