My wife and I decided to take Monday off in order to recuperate from our trip to my hometown which would take two weeks. We figured that since we’d leave on Sunday, Monday would be a good day to recharge.
On the journey home, nothing particularly exciting happened until we reached a place with a Christmas light display. We strolled around the area, admiring the decorations and their festive glow.
The street was full of various Christmas decorations, from snowmen to Santa Claus, angels, and deer. But the most unique thing on the road was an interactive singing road. The thick layers of paint were designed in such a way that they create a sound when driven over, making it a fun experience.
The way home was foggy by the way so we were careful driving.
Sunday was dedicated to grocery shopping since we needed enough provisions to last us two weeks. On the way, we stopped off at my mother’s and my wife made a delicious meal for her. Initially, we were intending to head up to a castle on the hill, but the gloomy weather made us think better of it and choose to stay at home instead and have some much-needed relaxation.
Tomorrow is a working day for both of us.
