I read on BBC that Russian mercenary leader Yevgeny Prigozhin was on the passenger list of a jet which crashed in Russia killing all 10 people on board, Russia’s civil aviation authority says.
I also read that “The convoys are probably heading in the direction of the border with Russia, but the Belarusian special forces are trying to prevent their vehicles from leaving,” it said in an update on Wednesday, hours after the plane crash that is presumed to have killed Yevgeny Prigozhin”
I think this was the plan all along. Putin lured the Wagner Group into Belarus to later assassinate Prigozhin. This way, Wagner is now trapped, as the Belarusians won’t release them towards Moscow. Putin intends to calm them down, buying time. This might have been the plan. In my opinion, Putin has made a fool of Wagner twice now.
