Today, we have visited some friends in Budapest. I had the chance to taste Asian food again. In spite of being very picky, I found a particular food that I really liked, which is called spring rolls. Just like at the China Festival two years ago, I tasted them again and I had a temporary obsession with them. But what is this food exactly? Those who are not familiar with it, it is a type of Chinese spring roll, often smaller and thinner than the more commonly known spring rolls found in other Chinese cuisines. They typically contain a filling made with various ingredients like minced pork, vegetables, and sometimes seafood, all wrapped in a thin, delicate pastry wrapper. These spring rolls are often deep-fried until they are crispy and golden. The exact ingredients and preparation can vary, but they are a popular appetizer or snack in Shanghai and other parts of China.
With full stomach, we said good bye to our friends and we went shopping to Auchan. What we needed was a big suitcase for our upcoming trip to the Philippines. After some search, we found a suitcase with soft covers but we did not mind it because these types of suitcases are lighter. We also bought some spices and ziplock plastic for liquids for the travel.
