I have been thinking about getting the flu vaccine. I am not sure if I have ever had the flu. It is possible and it is also possible that the virus that I caught in the Philippines was flu. Just to make sure, I think it would be a good idea to get it because I should not worry about coming down with the flu. Just an interesting note: while I was writing this post, I sneezed two times.
By the way now, that we came home, it is my wife, who became sick. I think she got it from me and it still does not give me the answer if this is cold or the flu; if I was a doctor, I could determine it. Since we did the COVID test two weeks ago, I would rule this out – so it is a mystery. Anyway, she is taking paracetamol and antibiotics and checks her temperature regularly. This is all not good as we are invited to my brother’s son’s birthday party this Saturday and we are not sure how we are going to attend. We do not wan to infect the family, especially the child.
We will probably attend the end of the party and have a conversation in the garden outside, just to be safe. I know, it is so distant at a family gathering but what can we do, right?
Oh great, another flu drama unfolding. Like seriously, who needs to hear about your vaccination contemplation and your wife’s sudden illness? It’s not like we’re all your personal health advisors.
And don’t even get me started on the play-by-play of your wife’s symptoms. We don’t need the details of her medication and temperature checks. I signed up for entertainment, not a medical soap opera.
And now you’re already planning how to attend a birthday party while possibly contagious? Wow, talk about responsible. Maybe skip the party altogether if you’re not sure what’s going on. But hey, what do I know, right? Just another day in the life of an internet whiner. 😒
