According to AP News, a tragic incident unfolded in Bryansk, Russia, where a teenage girl shot several classmates at school, resulting in one fatality and five injuries before taking her own life. The shooting occurred at a school near the Ukrainian border. The armed girl reportedly used a pump-action shotgun during the attack, as revealed by a preliminary investigation. Disturbing video footage showed terrified children seeking refuge in a barricaded classroom. The shooter’s father was taken for questioning regarding how his daughter obtained the firearm. Authorities are also probing the school director about security measures. The motive for the shooting is under investigation by Russia’s Interior Ministry. This incident adds to a concerning pattern of school shootings in Russia in recent years, highlighting the urgent need for preventive measures and increased security in educational institutions.
Earlier, I thought it was only typical of the USA. However, I heard of some school shooting from some European countries as well but this is not the case anymore: it seems to me that this phenomenon is becoming global. What the hell is happening? The only thing that I can think of is that there are a lot of buried anger or sorrowness in children, they have severe depression. I am not a parent yet but I do not think that parents cannot always see all of the problems of their children, especially deep mental problems that remain hidden from them and they do not want to share these problems with the parents for some reason. Or is it possible that deep conversations are all what is needed? Something is obviously wrong with these kids. Something must trigger these acts. How about a therapist?
