For some reason, I wish not to share, my wife and I went to Kistarcsa. She had some things to do while I had to book a room at a motel. I booked the same one I had booked in February. Basically, it is a gas station with rooms, which is very convenient.
When we said goodbye temporarily, I found a gym and did some walking (I usually do this when I have time to burn some fat). Then I went to Budapest to pick up my contact lenses at a shop. I had been waiting for it for weeks and I could not wait any longer as we had a holiday ahead of us. I just needed them to enjoy the holiday so it was faster to go to the shop and pick it up in person.
When I went back to the parking garage, I could hardly find the exit. Also, I needed to find a pay point, which turned out to be at the exit. Since I had a bank card, I had to pay for the doorman who had a terminal. One can easily get lost in bigger parking garages so it can be useful to take a mental note on where exactly you park your car.
Then I went back to my accommodation and called my wife, who was doing all right fortunately. It also relieved me and I had less anxiety from then on. Then I wanted to visit my uncle and aunt who were visiting my cousin’s family. Before I started heading for their place I forgot that I had left my gym bag at the gym, so I rushed back to pick it up (I did not have much hope that I would find it). Surprisingly, it was put aside (some workers found it). I was very grateful to whoever found it. At my cousin’s place, we had a nice conversation with my uncle and aunt, they are relatively doing well. Then I went back to my room and called my wife again. She was all right but my daily adventure did not end there. I also forgot to take my coat and I accidentally left it at my cousin’s place, so I had to rush back.
After going back and forth everywhere, I awarded myself with a long and hot shower and went to bed. I was watching a show that was about the connection between the gut microbiome and the nerve system. Actually, the state of your microbiome has an effect on your nerve system. The researcher said that all the necessary bacteria is needed to maintain a delicate balance between your gut and your nerve system so sometimes it is useful to take probiotics. So this was what I learned that day before I fell asleep.
From today’s adventures, I gained several wins and achievements: successfully managing multiple tasks, from booking a motel room to picking up contact lenses and visiting family, showcased my ability to stay organized and accomplish goals efficiently. Navigating the challenges of finding the parking garage exit and paying the doorman demonstrated my problem-solving abilities and adaptability in unfamiliar situations.
Finding my gym bag safely returned by the workers highlighted the kindness of strangers and inspired gratitude for the helpfulness of others. Enjoying meaningful conversations with my uncle and aunt at my cousin’s place strengthened family bonds and provided moments of connection and joy.
Despite setbacks such as forgetting my coat, I remained resilient and adaptable, quickly adjusting to unexpected circumstances and finding solutions to overcome challenges. For me, engaging in self-care with a long, hot shower and gaining insights into the gut microbiome’s impact on the nervous system through a TV show demonstrated a commitment to personal well-being and a thirst for knowledge.
