A Special Day with Small Surprises

This morning started like any other, but with one exciting twist: I saw a text message on my phone saying that our baby stroller would be delivered today. That made both of us really happy—we’d been so curious to see what it looked like.

While having my morning coffee, I studied some English, and my wife got to work from bed, which has become her preferred spot lately—it’s just more comfortable for her now. After that, I went for my usual walk to get in some fat-burning exercise.

Not long after I got back home, the delivery arrived: our pink stroller! It’s absolutely lovely and cute. We had fun figuring out how to assemble it, though it turned out to be easier than I expected. I sent some photos to my mum too.

Speaking of my mum—today is her birthday. We called her in the afternoon to wish her well. Unfortunately, she told us that her godmother had fallen and broken some bones and is now in the hospital. The doctors aren’t giving a very optimistic prognosis, but we’re hoping for the best. My uncles are visiting her today as well, so at least her birthday is not entirely overshadowed by the bad news.

This evening, we tried something new—watching shows together on the balcony. I turned our sofa into a bed, and it was surprisingly comfortable. We watched One Born Every Minute, a show my wife chose to help prepare me for unexpected situations during childbirth. I’m not a fan of medical reality shows, but she’s right—it’s good to be informed. After that, we watched an episode of Disappeared, but partway through, a power cut interrupted our cozy evening. Luckily, it didn’t last long.

All in all, it was a full and memorable day—small surprises, new experiences, and a bit of everything.
