There was a teacher in my high school who greatly influenced me. She was an elderly woman and she taught grammar and literature. She was very well-versed in the past and the field of literacy. She knew a lot about the events and people of the past, saw the connections of history through creations of writers and poets. The only thing I regret is not paying enough attention to her in her classes. I should have listened more in those classes. I remember when she gave us homework and I did not do it but simply, I just copied the text from our students’ book into my notebook instead of using my own words to write about something. I felt ashamed when she learnt about my cheating.
But I still admire her knowledge and helpfulness, and I hope I can be partly as knowledgeable as she was by studying more. And you? Can you describe a teacher who greatly influenced you?
