Today we visited one of my wife’s friends, who has a 5-year-old daughter. The wonderful thing is, they offered us all their newborn and toddler clothes — which is such a big help. So we drove out to Bakonycsernye to pick everything up.
It was a pleasant trip, almost like a little outing rather than just a chore. The scenery was beautiful, and the whole experience felt relaxed.
Her friend was incredibly generous — she gave us several boxes full of clothes, all neatly sorted by age. We probably won’t need to buy much at all now! From short-sleeved onesies to long-sleeved outfits, socks, shoes — everything you could think of.
We were truly grateful. As it turns out, they were originally expecting the husband’s sister to have another girl, but she ended up having a boy — so they couldn’t use the clothes and decided to pass them on.
Sometimes, help arrives exactly when you need it.
