Today, we came to Croatia, to be more specific, we are going to spend a few days in Novi Vinodolski. On the way, we stopped at a gas station in Hungary but we did not stop until we reached this town. Our first thing to do (as always) was to have lunch. We went to the center and found a restaurant that served pizza, so this was our choice.
By the way, Novi Vinodolski is a town located in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County of Croatia. It is situated along the Adriatic Sea coast and is a popular tourist destination known for its beautiful beaches, clear waters, and historic sites. The town offers a variety of beaches, including sandy, pebble, and rocky beaches, which are ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports. Novi Vinodolski has a rich history, with landmarks such as the ruins of the Frankopan Castle, which dates back to the 13th century, and the Church of St. Philip and Jacob. The town is historically significant for the Vinodol Code, one of the oldest legal codes in Europe, written in 1288. The town hosts numerous cultural events and festivals throughout the year, celebrating local traditions, music, and cuisine. Novi Vinodolski offers picturesque views of the Adriatic Sea and the surrounding landscape, making it a charming spot for visitors.
So as you see, Novi Vinodolski combines natural beauty, historical significance, and cultural richness, making it a notable destination in Croatia.
The accommodation is perfect. We got a room with sea-view on the top floor, which is the best room in the building. The host was nice and I can recommend this place.
Well, we wanted to come here at the weekend but the thing is the weather forecast said it would be a bit colder so we rescheduled our holiday and came here on Monday, which was not a bad decision as the traffic was better.
