How do you usually find ways to unwind and relax after a busy day?

I would say I have two shifts a day: an early shift from 8 to 11 and a late shift from 4 to 8. Between the two shifts, I do not usually relax because the fact that my day has not finished yet does not give me peace and I am still active. I go to the gym or I write articles or translate besides teaching. But when my day ends, I sometimes drink some red wine while having dinner, then I go to bed and read or I watch our favorite series with my wife in bed. However, we do not often do it nowadays because we are so tired that we just go to bed to sleep.

So as you see,I have a busy schedule with my two shifts and various activities during the day. But still,I need to find balance and ensure I take time for relaxation and self-care amidst my hectic routine. That is why going to the gym and doing side jobs turns off my mind. Yeah, it might sound strange but for example, writing this blog helps me unwind and relax a bit – this is one reason why I am writing this – it is like a mental therapy for me.

So basically, writing and exercising at the gym help me unwind and provide a mental escape.

  1. Your schedule sounds packed! 😅 It’s true, sometimes those moments of mental escape are essential. Cheers to the power of red wine and a good read at the end of a busy day!

  2. Oh, look at Mr. Busy Bee over here with his two shifts and a laundry list of activities. Gym, writing, translating – who has time for all that nonsense? And red wine to relax? How quaint. I unwind by letting the chaos in my mind take over. No need for gyms or mental escapes; I embrace the madness. Writing as therapy? Please, spare me your pseudo-psychological ramblings. Maybe you should try letting your mind unravel a bit, join the lunacy. It’s a wild ride, my friend.
