Is it always the worst kind of people who succeed

I think it is sometimes frustrating to see that people who are kind and genuine can be misunderstood and overlooked because they don’t sugarcoat things and may have blunt personalities.

These people can easily be stepped on, ignored, and made to feel dejected socially, despite their good intentions. In contrast, it’s disheartening to see how people who are selfish, manipulative, and entitled can somehow manage to be popular, intimidating, and hold power over others. It’s baffling how these people can get others to do favors for them easily and be treated specially on their birthday, despite their terrible behavior.

It’s unfortunate that being an asshole seems to get you further in life than just being a nice person. However, I believe that it’s important to stay true to your values and be kind and genuine, even if it may not lead to immediate social success or popularity.

I would say that being an asshole may help you get ahead in the short term, but it’s not a sustainable or fulfilling way to live. True happiness and fulfillment come from being kind, compassionate, and genuine with others, and building meaningful relationships based on mutual respect and understanding.
