Letters to the Wind

Here is a heartwarming story:

Every morning, Mr. Ellwood, a retired history teacher, walked to the park with a bag of birdseed and an old, leather-bound notebook. He always sat on the same bench under a chestnut tree, scattering seeds for the birds and writing letters he never sent.

One chilly spring morning, a little girl named Mia sat beside him. She watched the birds fluttering around his feet and asked, “Are you writing stories?”

He smiled. “Letters to my wife. She loved this park.”

Mia returned the next day, and the next, bringing her own notebook. Together, they wrote—he, his letters, and she, her stories. Seasons passed. One autumn, Mia found the bench empty, but on it lay Mr. Ellwood’s notebook, with a note inside:

“For Mia, the storyteller. Keep writing. Keep loving. The world needs both.”

And she did.
