My Morning Coffee Ritual: Cheap, Tasty, and Just Right for Me

These days, I drink coffee almost every morning. I’m not entirely convinced it’s a good habit—after all, caffeine can raise blood pressure. Hopefully, it won’t have a lasting effect on me, but since I regularly monitor my blood pressure and it stays within the normal range, I’m not too worried for now.

Coffee gives me a small energy boost—not much, just enough to feel a little more awake. And, of course, there’s the taste. But here’s the thing: I only enjoy my coffee. No fancy café brew or trendy blend can compete. My recipe is simple and perfect for me: one packet of 2-in-1 instant coffee, a scoop of milk powder, a splash of milk, and two or three sweeteners. That’s it. Nothing else hits the spot quite like it.

My wife calls it a cheap solution—and she’s not wrong. Every now and then, she falls for some luxurious, high-end coffee machine. We joke about how, once we finally get one, she’ll sip her posh coffee like a queen while I stick to my beloved, humble cup. To each their own, right?
