Navigating bonds

Today, we returned to our home from my hometown. As you may have already realized, I value and maintain a connection with my family but the town where we currently lives holds significance as our place of residence. To me, it holds a sense of belonging and attachment to that location. We just need to resume daily routines, work, and other obligations in our regular living environment.

I think it is crucial to have a balance between familial ties and personal or professional commitments. Since there is a physical separation between my parental home and our current place of residence, there is a need to manage and navigate the distances between different aspects of our lives.

But the fact that we live in a different town signifies us our independence and autonomy in managing our life. On the other hand, my parents’ hometown represents a place of origin or family support to me.
