Planning our holiday in Croatia

We are planning our holiday in Croatia for the next week. The thing is, our wedding anniversary is on June 15 and we want to celebrate it somewhere nice. Our accommodation is in a small village in Istria. On the first day, we will just explore the are and we will visit the nearest beach. However, the beaches in Northern Croatia are rocky or pebbly, which is not the best but we will be fine with that.

Our original plan was to visit the Plitvice National Lake Park but we got disappointed upon seeing that the trail to the main waterfall is closed. So why would we pay the full price for the tour if the main attraction is not available? What is more, they do not even deduct it from the price, which is a bit ridiculous. So instead of going to the national park, we decided to opt for a water activity on Krk island. We found a boat trip that includes swimming, relaxing on a sandy beach, visiting Rab island, lunch and local history. Is it not great? It is like all in one. The drive to this place where the boat leaves is just one hour from our accommodation, which is perfect as it is not too far.

And I think it is better to have this activity on our third day because we may be tired of the long journey to Croatia on the first day. We will probably just want to relax on the second day. Oh, and the European Championshipm of football will take place on June 15 and we want to watch that – this is our habit when there is a bigger event. So basically, we watch football on our wedding anniversary, which is funny.

All in all, we have a schedule for the holiday and we are looking forward to it.
