IN CIVIL CASES, lawyers do nothing except rob you blind, and most of the time, they only make things worse for the defendant! If I was sued or summoned – God forbid – I would represent myself. That way, not only do I save money, but I would handle the whole thing much more sensibly and efficiently. I just would not pay hundreds of thousands to someone for absolutely nothing!
And honestly, the whole damn legal system feels like a rigged game meant to confuse and screw you over. Endless confusing jargon, piles of pointless paperwork, and waiting forever just so some lawyer can cash in. If you don’t have one, they treat you like you’re stupid. If you do, half the time it’s like they’re just punching a clock and milking you dry.
I’m all for professional help when it actually does something, but most of the time it’s just throwing your money into a black hole while you get nowhere. Meanwhile, people without fat wallets get crushed and tossed aside like trash. Maybe if more folks took their cases into their own hands, it would shake this broken system up a bit.
At the end of the day, nobody wants to deal with legal crap, but if you must, knowing what’s going on and keeping control feels like the only real defense against getting swindled!
