The increasing number of UFO sightings poses a growing challenge for the West Yorkshire Police

The West Yorkshire Police claim to be overwhelmed with UFO reports, receiving nearly two events per day, totaling 1,805 cases since 2020. Despite Leeds and Bradford, part of West Yorkshire, being known for UFO sightings, the police refused to review the information due to cost concerns but shared a report describing a man witnessing four flashing lights above his property before a woman was lifted into the air. The police acknowledged a significant increase in UFO-related events since 2020. Worldwide, UFO reports surged between 2020 and 2022, possibly influenced by factors like increased leisure time at home and relocations to less-polluted rural areas, providing clearer views of the night sky and various human-made flying objects.

I would like to highlight the assumption that the increased number of sightings could be the result of the increased leisure time at home. People are more observant and they notice things in the sky – otherwise, they would not. I think there are many more UFOs in the sky than the ones reported – the problem is that we do not look up at the sky too often and we have no idea how many unidentified objects there might be. Now I am talking about only extraterrestrials.
